Poor. The surface of both mortar and pestle is corroded and scratched. The mortar is missing a portion of its fluted base which has broken off. The surface under the break appears as corroded as the rest of the surface so this is an old break. The interior bottom of the mortar is rusted where the surface has been eroded. Similarly, the pestle’s grinding surface is worn and rusted.
