Ferguson Form Boards

The Department of Psychology Collection is a significant collection of instruments and apparatus used in teaching and research dating from the 1890s until the 1990s, with a few more modern artefacts recently acquired. This collection includes a world-class selection of antique German-made instruments representing the earliest stages of experimental psychology, and a number of locally-made instruments including a variable double episcotister made by Dr. August Kirschmann (read more about this). It also includes an excellent collection of psychological testing material, some of it locally developed.

This collection has recently been reshelved, and is subject to an ongoing cataloguing project.
