Most of the original illustrations for Grant’s original Atlas of Anatomy were done by Dorothy Foster Chubb and Nancy Joy. The carbon dust technique, used extensively for Grant’s Atlas, is especially good for expressing three-dimensionality. This carbon dust image of the base of the brain was produced by Dorothy Foster Chubb.
