Electrically-Driven Tuning Fork

A black shiny rectangular metal base coated in enamel. There is a cylinder at one end which holds the base of a tuning fork in a horizontal position parallel to the base. There are two electrical leads attached to the base, one to each side of the cylinder. The manufacturer’s label is attached to the base next to the leads. A cylindrical electromagnet with green wire wrapped around the coil is positioned next to the tines of the tuning fork to keep the tuning fork in motion when the device is activated. Tuning fork is marked “C1 256”.

Good condition; Small patches of enamel worn from black metal base.
