Nasal Endotracheal Tubes (Rüsch)

Health Sciences · Hospital for Sick Children

Two clear packages each contain unused beige rubber nasal endotracheal tubes. Each tube has an inflatable cuff near the distal end to which is attached a narrow tube leading to a bulb that is used to inflate the cuff. The rubber has deteriorated visibly within its clear packaging. Patches of discoloration are visible, and the narrow tube on one of the examples has broken.
