This collection includes a number of medical items and memorabilia collected by the Banting and Best Department of Medical Research (BBDMR). Much of this material came from the “Bridge Museum”, an exhibit space that was formerly located on an elevated walkway between the Banting and the Best Institutes. When it was taken down in the early 2000s, the material was placed in an archival room at the Faculty of Medicine. This material notably includes a number of locally manufactured biological medicine.
This substantial collection is in the early stages of being added to this online catalogue. It represents a significant part of the broader Temerty Faculty of Medicine Collection.
