A cylindrical, unopened container of paper filters. The container is made from natural tree bark and contained five hundred “No. 00R” 11cm paper filters.

The top and bottom surface are covered in a manufacturer’s label that is brown in colour.

Provenance:

This artifact was donated by Professor Paul Jowlabar of the University of Toronto Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. It was acquired by the UTSIC project on December 4, 2017.

Professor Jowlabar acquired a substantial of historical artifacts from his department by saving important items from disposal. He donated his collection to the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (IHPST) in 2017.
